Teleconference notes

  • Introduction to communities of practice should also refer to and compare with Professional Learning Communities (referenced in the Iowa Core)
  • World café question should ask about the characteristics of effective instruction
  • "I think it's also valuable to key the Universal Constructs in the forefront of our thinking and planning so that we intentionally plan for learning opportunities for all kids in which they can practice cretical thinking, creativity, collaboration, etc. "
  • Nancy will check with LeRoy about walls
  • We'll be using the wiki for notes (needs to be set up in advance)
  • We need a facilitator's guide
